June 2017 Hawberry Quilter newsletter

Wow!  It's July already and I'm just posting our June newsletter!  Well...Quilt Canada and then preparing for our wonderful Hawberry Quilt Show ... and that's where the extra time went (extra - time outside of housework, yard work, gardening and summer visiting!).

The Island Quilters Guild will begin a new year on September 21, 2017 at the Community Hall in Mindemoya, ON on Manitoulin Island at 7:00pm.  Bring your coffee mug and your show and tell items and join us - no quilting experience needed.  This guild welcomes newcomers and will help you begin quilting or extend your quilting skills.  In October, we are looking forward to a trunk show (Oct. 19) and workshop (Oct. 20) with quilter, Kelly Cline, who will show us how to incorporate vintage linens into unique quilted items.  Read this newsletter for more information and contact Melissa McIntosh at msmcdermid@hotmail.com to register (Melissa is also a talented long arm quilter on the Island).
